Concept & Artistic Direction
Every project at RocknLight begins with an idea, and we shape this idea into something that can be built, felt, and remembered. This service underpins everything else we do: defining the visual language before a single frame is rendered, establishing the emotional logic of the whole narration. The work spans formats, but our approach is the same in each: a creative process that connects the brief to the audience and links every creative decision to a project's essence. We develop original narrative concepts from scratch, working closely with commissioners, institutions, and co-producers to translate complex subjects such as history, heritage, identity, and memory into a visual experience that is both accessible and artistically uncompromising. Clients commission this service independently of production, as a consultancy, or as the starting point for a full RocknLight production.
Projection Mapping
RocknLight designs and delivers projection mapping for every scale and surface: from architectural facades on city skylines to theatrical stages, dome ceilings, and intimate event venues. We manage the full pipeline, from content creation to multi-projector calibration, so every surface becomes a canvas. Our team has completed mapping projects on some of the world's most demanding geometries, including full-sphere dome systems, 270-degree venue environments, and landmark historic buildings. Whether the brief is a single-night activation or a permanent installation, we bring the technical precision and artistic base to make it extraordinary.
Immersive Exhibitions
We create large-scale immersive multimedia environments for galleries, cultural institutions, public venues, and festivals. Our exhibitions have been presented at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris, Lighthouse ArtSpace venues across North America, and major diplomatic and cultural events across Europe and Asia. Each exhibition is conceived as a unified sensory experience in which every visual layer, every sound, and every architectural decision works toward a single emotional truth. We handle concept, curation, content production, and full on-site technical installation as a turn-key service.
Stage & Theatre Visuals
RocknLight creates video scenography designs for theatre, opera, and live performance: from productions at national opera houses to internationally touring political drama. We develop the visual language of a production in close collaboration with directors and stage designers, translating the work's central ideas into moving image, colour, and atmosphere. Our stage visuals are not decoration: they are narrative tools that carry meaning, establish place, and transform the emotional experience of a performance. We work in every genre and scale, and we stay with a production from first concept to final curtain.
Interactive Installations
We build sensor-driven, real-time interactive systems that respond to the presence and movement of visitors. Our interactive work spans floor projection systems that track and react to individual footsteps, drawing installations that blend audience-created content with projected imagery, and custom software platforms deployable across multiple international venues simultaneously. We develop both the creative concept and the engineering solution in-house, in close collaboration with trusted technology partners, ensuring that interactivity serves the experience rather than competing with it.
Museums
RocknLight works with museums, cultural centres, and heritage institutions to create multimedia environments that deepen visitors' relationships with collections. Our museum projects include permanent multi-gallery installations with unified show control, where every screen, projection, and interactive element operates as part of a single coherent programme. We also do temporary media art commissions that animate works from a museum's collection and tour them internationally. We understand the specific demands of museum contexts: the need to serve and enhance physical artefacts rather than overwhelm them. We respect the constraints of institutional infrastructure and the curatorial rigour required to translate a collection's meaning into contemporary visual language. Whether the brief is a permanent installation or a touring commission built around museum-held works, we bring the same depth of research, production discipline, and artistic precision to every Project.
