Projection Installation at Rajadamnern Stadium
A new way to experience Muay Thai: the world's largest stadium dome projection reveals an ancient martial legacy at Bangkok's legendary Rajadamnern.
RocknLight was brought in by Show One Production to lead the technical installation of the dome projection system at Rajadamnern Stadium in Bangkok: the world's oldest Muay Thai stadium. Together with technology partner NV, the studio installed the dome projection system and completed the integration of the content management software into the whole show control system.
Rajadamnern Stadium is the oldest Muay Thai stadium in the world: a place of ceremony, ritual, and combat, where the ancient martial art has been practised in its most authentic form.
The centrepiece of the new Muay Thai experience is the largest dome projection ever installed in a stadium. RocknLight and NV Pro defined the precise positioning of eight high-resolution Panasonic projectors to light the stadium's concrete dome, and then selected and configured the server technology required to merge the projectors' outputs into a single seamless canvas. The team managed the complete blending and calibration of the projection across the dome's curved surface and integrated the system with the stadium's 360-degree LED screen setup, ensuring perfect synchronisation.
The projection works in harmony with the stadium's rebuilt lighting system and surround sound, and is fully integrated into a united show control system.
Since its launch, the experience has generated approximately five million dollars in sponsorships and increased social media engagement, turning Rajadamnern from a fight venue into one of Bangkok's most compelling cultural destinations.
